MARGOT | antique textile collection (sold out)

$360.00 CAD

Born in Rouen to a French mother and a Ukrainian father, Margot moved to Kiev as a young girl to be closer to her paternal family. Her parents, while kind, were often preoccupied with their careers, so Margot quickly took to her aunt; a warm woman with a foul mouth who taught her niece how to cook. Margot was a diligent student, and became obsessed with perfecting traditional Ukrainian recipes. In fact, her fascination and focus only blossomed further, and she eventually opened a popular restaurant that offers a contemporary take on traditional dishes - with Deruni as her specialty. If patrons listen closely, they will often hear a chorus of colourful curse words coming from the kitchen. Margot isn’t sure if her aunt is more proud of her cooking or of her creative vocabulary.
