Dottie loves the life she has built with her fraternal twin sister, DeeDee. After finishing their degrees at Carlton, the pair set off on what was to be six months of travel. It quickly turned in to a year, then two - and before they knew it they were celebrating their 35th birthday at a beachside bar in Dakar. The twins moved from one adventure and job to another, from nannying in France to restaurant work in Argentina, to diving in Thailand and hiking the Tergo-La Trek in Bhutan. Dottie eventually returned to Ottawa owing to DeeDee’s gentle prodding, but she is very content with the life they’ve built. She loves waking up in their warm and colourful home, sharing a quick breakfast with her twin and their cat, Walter, before walking to their travel bookshop, Roam, with Walter toddling along on his leash.

Composition: antique bird embroidery surrounded by emerald green raw silk, with an antique hot pink velvet reverse, the edges finished with vintage navy & multicoloured geometric ribbon and rose bullion. Metal zipper.
